Reshma Sohoni, the Seedcamp CEO, opened the second day of the How To Web 2010 edition. Her presentation was entitled “European Entrepreneurs – the recipe for success”.
In her presentation, Reshma spoke about the Seedcamp micro-fund and program for entrepreneurs and shared some DOs and DON’Ts for European startups.
DOs:
- be commercial, not just techie;
- be assertive, positive, optimistic about your product;
- be awesome at helping start-ups as you are;
- be open to going where the opportunities are
DON’Ts:
- be afraid to think big
- be apologetic for being from Eastern Europe
- be secretive about your idea
- talk to good people
- use smaller markets as excuse.
The 3 very important elements for a start-up from Reshma’s point of view are Passion, Customer Thinking and Execution.
